Discovering the secret life of cells.

GALLERY
Welcome to Flashes of Brilliance, a photographic showcase of images by professionals and students in the field of neuroscience, working towards helping 1 million Kiwis affected by neurological conditions, have a better quality of life.
The vibrant images seen here are not images taken of our solar system or far away galaxy, nor are they bioluminescent micro-organisms found in the darkest depths of our oceans. These images show in the finest of detail neurons, proteins, clusters and cells inside the human brain and central nervous system.
They help tell a story about the incredible neurological research taking place every day in Aotearoa and beyond. They show the complexity of our brain, and the neurological conditions that upset the delicate balance of order that controls movement, senses, communication and memory.
