This image was taken from the blood vessels that support the health of auditory neurons in the inner ear organ for hearing (cochlea). The blue colour shows the cells that make up the blood vessels, and the yellow colour shows the nuclei of cells surrounding the blood vessels. This work is part of our research goal to understand how blood flow can influence the health of our auditory neurons and our hearing ability.
